Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and processing payments.
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
