Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of both interior and exterior spaces within the organization. This position encompasses a variety of maintenance tasks including cleaning, painting, and performing minor repairs to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and execute work orders and maintenance procedures effectively.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers, while ensuring supplies are replenished.
  • Maintain cleanliness of windows and mirrors.
  • Care for outdoor areas by watering plants, mowing lawns, and cleaning entrances.
  • Conduct minor repairs, such as replacing broken switches and fixing door handles.
  • Identify and report significant damages, coordinating repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure the security of facilities after hours by locking doors and setting alarms.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and procedures.
  • Strong time management skills to meet task deadlines.
  • Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in custodial or maintenance roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and basic landscaping techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements:

This position involves light physical work, including walking or standing for extended periods and the ability to lift between 20 to 50 pounds regularly.
