Job Requirements
We are looking for a Linux Kernel Driver Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Linux kernel drivers for our next-generation devices. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and embedded systems development tools to make a significant impact on our cutting-edge devices.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize multimedia functionalities within Linux kernel drivers, customizing and configuring Linux kernels, drivers, and modules for specific hardware platforms, and troubleshooting and fixing kernel drivers and BSP for our cutting-edge devices. You will also support factory tasks to ensure fast turnaround for solving assembly line issues and debug and resolve issues related to multimedia components, drivers, and system integration.

The successful candidate will have experience programming with modern languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust, in-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and embedded systems development tools, and understanding of hardware architectures and interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, PCIe). Average salary: $162,400/year in the US.
