We are pleased to present a Feed Ingredient Procurement Trainee position. This program is tailored to equip candidates for future roles within the feed ingredient procurement team. The Trainee will engage with ingredient inventory management, ordering processes, purchasing logistics, accounting functions, and customer relations. This role includes learning to execute grain purchases, manage contracts, and handle settlements. Additionally, the Trainee will gain insights into essential documentation practices, including contract balances, storage metrics, and pricing details. The individual will also be introduced to consumer risk management strategies related to cash grain trading and futures/options trading.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Procure feed ingredients for our feed mills.
- Market rendered by-products from our processing facilities.
- Monitor ingredient inventories at feed mills.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation for feed ingredient deliveries.
- Acquire knowledge of accounting practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in agricultural business or economics preferred; or 2-4 years of relevant experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making abilities to resolve challenges effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals including colleagues, supervisors, and executives.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
SCHEDULE
This position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday.
