The Classroom Technology Support Specialist at Georgia Gwinnett College provides technical assistance and support for classroom and conference technologies, digital signage, and audio-visual equipment. This role involves conducting regular maintenance checks, responding to incidents and service requests, and collaborating with IT staff to troubleshoot and document technology issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide level 1 support for hardware and software in classrooms, conference rooms, and digital signage.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Assist with organization and maintenance of equipment inventory.
- Install or repair equipment as needed.
- Support audio-visual upgrade projects and collaborate with IT staff to ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical and professional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College.
- Must maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with common software applications, web conferencing technologies, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
