Position Overview:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the ordering and delivery of mass production components through strategic planning, effective communication, and supplier collaboration. This role requires the application of technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to ensure seamless operations and support departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of process-related systems for assigned suppliers and components, ensuring optimal inventory levels to support production operations.
- Develop and sustain communication channels with suppliers to foster positive relationships focused on delivery performance.
- Identify and escalate critical issues to management, ensuring timely resource allocation and the development of countermeasures to mitigate risks.
- Enhance internal and external communication networks to promote operational success and departmental awareness.
- Collaborate with project leaders to support Mass Production initiatives, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met through proactive risk management.
- Manage design change activities for New Model and Mass Production, working closely with suppliers to minimize production impact and costs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures to resolve complex challenges, both internally and at supplier facilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle within the area of responsibility.
- Foster the development of self and team members through training and mentorship in technical expertise.
- Support the company's vision and business plan through active participation in relevant projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
0-4 years of relevant experience based on educational background.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing processes, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Position Factors:
Willingness to work overtime and adapt to a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines.
