Job Title: Geotechnical Project Manager

At HVJ Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering group, you will be responsible for managing projects, meeting financial goals, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including forecasting project beginning, schedule, and profitability.
  • Prepare proposals, including detailed cost estimates, to secure new projects.
  • Provide exceptional client satisfaction through effective communication and project management.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff members to ensure their growth and development.
  • Assist with business development, identifying new opportunities to grow geotechnical engineering services.
  • Track project expenses to ensure actual work is performed within budget.
  • Invoice projects to ensure timely payment for services rendered.
  • Review all reports prior to submission to clients for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform geotechnical/construction materials engineering as required to meet client needs.
Requirements:
  • MSCE with at least 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience, or BSCE with at least 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Must have a Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas.
  • Experience in TxDOT, City, and Municipality projects is a plus.
  • Experience with Central and South-Central Texas geology and soil conditions is a plus.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug-related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents.
