Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our interventional radiology department, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our imaging services, ensuring quality imaging and patient care, and overseeing quality control testing and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operations of interventional imaging services, ensuring quality imaging and patient care.
  • Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
  • Provide input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Radiology Tech licensure (Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
