Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our team at CBIZ. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing multiple client engagements simultaneously, reviewing complex tax returns, and providing guidance to clients on tax planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Review complex tax returns, including federal and multi-state returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts & estates, and foundations
  • Understand client goals and needs and provide direct service to clients
  • Owning client relationships and work
  • Strategize with Managing Directors regarding tax planning
  • Provide clients with recommendations and guidance on tax planning and compliance
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clients
  • Research tax issues and provide guidance to clients
  • Work closely with staff and assist senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
Requirements
  • At least 2-4 years of manager-level experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
