We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of real estate clients and providing high-quality tax services and advice.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of real estate clients, including those with varying size and scope, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing expert tax advice and delivering exceptional service.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional account teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
- Oversee the financial performance of client engagements, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
- Advise clients on tax matters and provide high-quality tax services and advice.
- Participate in market and business activities to support our practices in High Growth Sectors.
- Manage risk for KPMG and our clients by understanding the technical tax aspects of various reporting positions.
- Minimum five years of recent experience as a tax manager with a public accounting firm, with a focus on partnership tax experience in the financial services industry specific to real estate and real estate private equity funds.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, with a licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or EA, or other approved credential.
- Proficiency in the taxation of REITs, partnerships, and other flow-through entities.
- Exceptional skills in reviewing 1120-REIT and 1065 tax returns, including complex partner allocations.
- Excellent research and writing skills, with a working knowledge of REIT and partnership tax regulations and ASC 740.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information and manage multiple client engagements and client service teams.
