About the Position
This 13-week contract is based in Park Ridge, Illinois, and offers a competitive salary of approximately $145,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience. The shift schedule consists of 8 hours per day, with a total of 40 hours worked per week. The employment type is travel, allowing you to take advantage of new experiences and locations.
Responsibilities
Your primary duties as an Interventional Cardiovascular Specialist will include:
- Preparing patients for procedures by administering medications, positioning them correctly, and explaining the procedure.
- Operating medical equipment such as defibrillators, ultrasound machines, and fluoroscopy units.
- Assisting with catheterizations, including inserting catheters and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient information, treatment plans, and test results.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as cardiovascular technology or nursing.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in a cath lab environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
