Medical Laboratory Specialist

As a Medical Lab Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosis and treatment by performing, interpreting, and correlating clinical laboratory tests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare specimens for testing and analyze patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Operate laboratory equipment, perform quality control procedures, and maintain an efficient laboratory operation.
- Read, interpret, and correlate clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition.
- Document and communicate significant information and special occurrences that may affect test results.
- Direct the work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel as needed.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
Work will be performed in a laboratory setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
