You will also be responsible for completing patient registration, verifying insurances, and providing front office support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage patient schedules
- Collect co-payments and process patient payments
- Complete patient registration and verify insurance information
- Provide front office support as needed, including greeting patients and escorting them to exam rooms
- Document patient information, including vital signs, allergies, and medications
- Perform basic vitals, such as blood pressure and height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred
- One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office preferred
