Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team at Lincoln County, OR. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in reviewing medical claims, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review charges prior to initial claims submission to ensure accuracy and make corrections as needed.
  • Review outpatient medical and mental health claim denials and rejections for any coding errors, correct and resubmit claims.
  • Post receipts, invoices, adjustments, and payments for all clinics in electronic health record system.
  • Maintain client account balances and bill various accounts.
  • Collect and receipt all client payments and calculate adjustments on accounts.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma / GED (Medical Biller 1) or Associates and/or Professional Certification in a relevant field and/or a Biller Certification through AAPC (Medical Biller 2).
  • Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience in general office work which includes fiscal record keeping or bookkeeping (Medical Biller 1) or Two to three (2-3) years' experience in medical office work which includes fiscal record keeping, billing, and claim submission (Medical Biller 2).
