JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Technician will be tasked with the installation of standard and advanced conduit and electrical components in our generator units. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interpret blueprints to determine wire placement independently.
  • Pull wire through conduits and establish ground connections.
  • Install complex conduit configurations according to blueprint specifications using the appropriate tools.
  • Set up wiring for intricate configurations.
  • Mount electrical boxes, fixtures, and enclosures.
  • Organize and prepare electrical wire carts.
  • Install and cover receptacles and switches.
  • Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, and point-to-point termination checks.
  • Perform operational checks to ensure quality and proficiency.
  • Maintain inventory of parts in the work area.
  • Be trained and proficient in the National Electrical Code.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor.
  • Other job-related responsibilities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A degree in industrial electricity or relevant training is necessary (Apprentice License or Journeyman License).
  • Previous electrical experience is essential.
  • Numerical proficiency for reading tape measures and blueprints is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated math skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Ability to perform multiple or semi-complex tasks with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment.
  • Physical capability to stoop and crouch as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while installing equipment.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety eyewear and steel-toed boots.
  • Experience working in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Efficiently perform tasks in a safe and productive manner.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and seek clarification when necessary.
  • Dexterity to handle small objects such as nuts, bolts, screws, and washers.
  • Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when handling materials.
  • Capability to work from ladders and in confined spaces.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a culture of compliance.
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening processes.
