Job Title: Psychologist

Staff Today Inc is seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to patients in a correctional facility.

Job Summary:

The Psychologist will conduct initial mental health evaluations, assess inmate needs, and develop treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build rapport with clients, and possess strong leadership qualities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Assess inmate needs and provide recommendations
  • Provide crisis intervention and group psychotherapy
  • Conduct clinically sound suicide risk evaluations
  • Document all care provided to inmates
  • Monitor inmate progress and provide updates
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and other healthcare personnel
  • Develop and implement new programs for treatment, training, or rehabilitation
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Psychologist
  • Proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid and current CPR card
  • Required licenses, permits, and/or certifications in the state of CA
