Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
Basic Cardiac Life Support (CBL) certification
ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, and trauma hours as required by unit standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment
Working Conditions:
Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity
Significant occupational risk
Very Heavy effort, exerting up to 50 lbs. force
Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
