As a key member of our team, reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee, analyze, and coordinate the Quality functions within our facility. Your role will involve developing and refining methods and processes to guarantee the quality of our manufactured products and assemblies. You will design, implement, and sustain systems that enhance or ensure the quality of component production, aligning actual performance with customer expectations and driving projects aimed at quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring quality performance metrics for the department and reporting findings to management while advocating for initiatives to bridge gaps and ensure team success.
  • Conducting and mentoring on data analysis, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including Design, Sourcing, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering, to foster a culture focused on quality improvement.
  • Representing the Quality team in management meetings and contributing to daily operational discussions.
  • Developing and implementing quality documentation such as procedures, standards, process flows, and control plans to ensure process certification.
  • Conducting and supporting quality audit systems to maintain compliance and support existing audit frameworks.
  • Training and mentoring personnel involved in inspection activities, ensuring proper usage of inspection tools.
  • Engaging with distributors and customers to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Creating risk assessments and quality plans for new product launches or transfers between facilities.
  • Leading the Material Review Board (MRB) to promptly address suspect materials while ensuring adherence to established processes.
  • Managing daily activities and projects under the guidance of the Quality Manager to meet strategic departmental objectives.
  • Overseeing a team of Technicians and Inspectors within the Quality department.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in quality leadership within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving using formal quality methodologies.
  • The ability to interpret scientific and technical documents, blueprints, and financial reports.
  • Excellent communication skills to address inquiries from customers and regulatory bodies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent technical training.
  • At least two years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Certifications such as CQE or higher from ASQ.
  • Experience in project management and familiarity with manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in analytical software like Minitab and knowledge of measurement tools and calibration systems.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 systems and audits.
  • Strong technical writing and statistical analysis skills.
