Key Responsibilities:
  • Design complete projects, systems, or processes.
  • Work in a team environment as the technical specialist for structural design, researching product specifications and contacting vendors.
  • Prepare technical product specifications.
  • Review, comment, and approve shop drawings and submittals.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers.
  • Develop budgets and schedules.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for the engineering department.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a PE in Tennessee is strongly preferred. We will consider registration in other states provided you are willing to live and work in Tennessee.
  • Minimum five years' experience as a structural engineer, working with building construction.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering related to structural engineering. A BS degree in mechanical or civil engineering with specific experience in structural design is preferred.
