Job Title: Senior Air Quality Engineer/Scientist

Yorke Engineering, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join our team in Northern California. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will be responsible for leading and executing compliance and permitting functions related to Air Quality Regulations and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review processes and equipment to ensure compliance with Air Quality Regulations
  • Analyze permit-related technical and regulatory issues
  • Communicate analyses with Yorke, clients, government agencies, and the public
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
  • B.S or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical degrees from an accredited college (minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • 10-20+ years of work experience in the Air Quality and/or Environmental industry in an engineering role (preferably in a consulting environment)
  • Experience in the environmental services industry focusing on leading Air Quality services, including process and equipment review, Air quality permitting, and RECLAIM implementation
  • Ability to manage and lead active team members on project teams towards project completion within project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with experience in conflict resolution and crisis management
  • Track record of successful analysis, interpretation, and application of rules and regulations towards practical solutions
  • Ability to think critically and develop solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills, with experience in Microsoft 365 Applications and Sharepoint
  • P.E. Certification (a plus)
