Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist at Allina Health, you will play a critical role in performing and assisting with procedures in diagnostic and interventional radiology, including cardiovascular, peripheral endovascular, and structural heart procedures. You will work under the direction of radiologists to provide timely and quality services to patients, following radiology department policies to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers and documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to their needs and maintaining a safe patient environment in the procedure area
  • Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy and demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment
  • Provides accurate clerical functions, including using electronic medical records and ensuring all documentation is complete post-procedure
  • Communicates with supervisors and team members, reporting problems, issues, or ideas and providing assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Laboratory, with 2 years strongly preferred
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire
  • BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire and ACLS BLS2 Tier 2 required within 180 Days
