We are seeking a highly skilled GI Oncologist to join our team at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a member of our Division of Medical Oncology, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of gastrointestinal cancer research.
About the RoleAs a GI Oncologist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Conducting ambulatory clinics and performing physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs
- Ordering special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services
- Developing and implementing treatment plans and/or medications required
- Documenting all services and instructions provided in medical records
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
Our GI Oncology Program is a leading center for cancer care, with a team of dedicated physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff. We offer a range of innovative therapies, including first-in-human trials and CAR-T cell therapy studies. Our program is committed to advancing the field of gastrointestinal cancer research and providing exceptional patient care.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- Completion of an accredited Oncology/Hematology Fellowship
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology
- Active certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Medical licensure in Ohio
