We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor - Secondary Market to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Processor - Secondary Market, you will be responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.

You will work closely with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, and other team members to facilitate a smooth and efficient loan process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify loan applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform a general evaluation of a mortgage loan application including credit, liabilities, and employment.
  • Gather and organize required documentation to meet underwriting guidelines for the loan type and clear any underwriting conditions.
  • Maintain detailed and organized loan files and records.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, and other parties to ensure timely processing of loan applications.
  • Collect and process necessary financial information and documentation from borrowers.
  • Communicate with borrowers to request additional information or clarification as needed.
  • Monitor the status of loan applications and update borrowers and team members accordingly.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing of loans.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the loan process.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in banking, mortgage, or a related role and/or training is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mortgage processing and/or loan origination is preferred.
