Job Summary

The Business Loan Servicing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the commercial lending function by compiling loan documentation, reviewing documents for accuracy, and ensuring all conditions are met prior to loan closings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, compile, and input accurate loan documentation for new and renewed loans.
  • Maintain approval throughout the loan documentation process through closing and initial funding.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are satisfied, approval conditions are met, collateral is collected with evidence of insurance when applicable, and documentation is properly executed prior to closing and funding a loan.
  • Coordinate communication between lender, borrower, and involved third parties throughout the loan closing process.
  • Ensure collateral is collected and perfected at time of closing.
  • Obtain, review, and archive loan documents, including financial statements, tax returns, and business reports.
  • Prepare tracking, checklists, coding, and set-up forms for new, modified, and renewed loans.
Loan Administration
  • Review daily reports to ensure loan maintenance accuracy.
  • Process loan advances and payments daily.
  • Assist lenders and borrowers with requests for information or follow up on loan-related items.
  • Maintain loan origination platforms for accuracy on borrowers, loan terms, collateral, and tickler tracking.
  • Complete follow-up for miscellaneous monthly loan reporting and tracking items.
Customer Service and Product Support
  • Support Premier Experience service standards.
  • Assist with in-branch customer service needs, including telephone, teller, and account opening functions.
Other General & Administrative
  • Assist with completing special projects and assignments as required by department leadership.
  • Actively participate in internal and external continuing education for mortgage loan operations and leadership.
  • Contain knowledge of company products and services.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality with regards to customer accounts, loans, and bank relationships.
  • Project a positive image of Choice Bank when representing the organization.
  • Actively support management and organizational goals.
  • Interact with other employees to promote teamwork, communications, trust, and respect.
  • Adapt to meet the ever-changing customer and community needs.
  • Perform duties outside normal scope as assigned.

Qualifications
  • BLSS: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
  • BLSS II: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
  • BLSS III: 7 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
  • Sr. BLSS: Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience with requisite competencies for defined process work.
