Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAIT) Role

The Citadel of Sterling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAIT) to join their team. As a CNAIT, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist nurse aides with designated resident care, focusing on eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.
  • Receive and carry out instructions regarding specific feedings, hydration, and personal care needs of assigned residents.
  • Provide care and services related to activities of daily living, as directed by the staff nurse.
  • Develop a written plan of care for each customer, identifying their problems and needs.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, making rounds to ensure their well-being.
  • Perform various tasks, including making beds, changing linens, and straightening rooms, closet, and drawers.
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, heights, and weights, as needed.
  • Conduct a complete skin check when dressing, undressing, turning, or repositioning residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program within 45 days of hire.
  • Pass the CNA Competency Examination and be listed on the Healthcare Worker Registry within 120 days of hire.
  • Be at least 16 years old, of good moral character, honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Demonstrate interest and/or knowledge in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderly.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current CPR certificate or become certified within 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling, with or without mechanical devices.
  • Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards, with understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Meet all health requirements as needed.
