CNA Instructor

Castor Health Institute is seeking a part-time Basic Nursing Assistant instructor for our CNA Training program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in teaching and training.

• Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete the nursing assistant training program.
• Utilize teaching skills, experience, and abilities to create a positive, nurturing environment for students.
• Supervise in a clinical training setting and act as a lab and clinical instructor.

• MSN/BSN or RN Degree
• Licensed registered nurse in Illinois or willing to obtain license transfer to Illinois.
• At least 2 years of RN nursing experience and a minimum of 1-year experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill in a healthcare facility.
• Experience providing services for patients with Alzheimer's disease & related dementias and formal teaching experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to work with a diverse population, students, and caregivers at all levels of the organization.
• Availability to conduct 8-10 week Basic Nurse Aide Training Programs at various facility locations.
• Good computer skills.
