Join Our Team as a Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Farmington, MI. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, utilizing anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  • Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform digital radiography using proper technique, including patient positioning.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of normal patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes and issues.
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
  • Calculate medical math, administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
  • Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
  • Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  • Mentor and train colleagues, demonstrating patience and empathy when addressing client concerns.
