Registered Nurse Telemetry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients in the Telemetry unit.
About the RoleThis is a part-time day shift position, with rotating weekends. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is a 370-bed hospital located in downtown San Antonio. We offer a wide range of services, including heart and cancer care, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, sleep disorder evaluation, and the largest emergency room in downtown San Antonio.
