Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Suncoast Community Health Centers. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and label prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor medication stock levels, reorder, and maintain inventory.
  • Verify patient eligibility for Medicaid, HCHCP, and other third-party payers.
  • Perform filing and retrieval of prescriptions, as well as other filing tasks as needed.
  • Answer routine phone calls and respond to inquiries from physicians, nurses, and patients.
  • Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities, including data collection and reporting.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and maintaining inventory levels.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Current Certified Pharmacy Technician Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to type accurately and perform basic pharmaceutical math.
  • Experience with pharmacy computer systems and bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
