Job Summary:

Serves as a technical expert in database design and implementation, utilizing advanced programming languages and systems. Participates in the development and maintenance of database structures, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards. Collaborates with teams to implement new databases, changes to existing databases, or changes from test to production environments. Prepares and maintains documentation for mainframe data file structures/designs. Provides procedures for backing up and recovering systems data. Maintains user contact to understand requirements and perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database structures, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement new databases, changes to existing databases, or changes from test to production environments.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for mainframe data file structures/designs.
  • Provide procedures for backing up and recovering systems data.
  • Maintain user contact to understand requirements.

Requirements:
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of two years of college, with coursework in computer science.
  • Requires four years of experience with technical systems and/or programming experience and/or IT project management.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Requires awareness and adherence to organizational standards for security, privacy, and ethics.
