Job Summary

This position involves set-up and operation of laser and punch presses in the fabrication department as needed to complete orders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating various machines, including brake presses, shears, punch presses, strippit, and laser machines, and will have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate laser and punch presses to complete orders
  • Develop programs necessary for part fabrication
  • Ensure quality standards are met in work areas and strive for continuous improvement in efficiency
  • Promptly notify managers of any deviations in product quality and collaborate on corrective actions
  • Provide training to employees on proper techniques and procedures as necessary to uphold quality standards and safety protocols
  • Operate forklift safely and responsibly in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of work-related experience to attain proficiency in fabrication techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and ingenuity in planning, layout, and executing tasks, with sound judgment in determining the sequence of operations
  • Ability to train and mentor others in machine operation and fabrication techniques
  • Forklift driving experience with a commitment to safety protocols
  • Proficiency in computer operations for machine programming and basic administrative tasks
  • Must be able to pass basic skills test
