Job Summary

As a Department Operations Lead at Family Fare, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store. This includes ensuring associates are trained, the department is fully staffed, operating at company standards, and meeting all company goals and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and maintaining stock, and implementing proper markdown procedures to minimize known loss.
  • Review and validate received orders for accuracy, quality, and condition, and ensure all product is stored in appropriate areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products carried in the department and throughout the store, including ad items, special prices, and coupon deals.
  • Communicate and execute the weekly and period Flight Plan to company expectations and timeline.
  • Follow company policies and timelines using required tools and software to manage scheduling, according to forecasted guidelines.
  • Implement Our Winning Recipe and model core values and competencies.
  • Support management in developing and monitoring department forecasts, as required.
  • Attend and participate in daily huddles.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, using structure of the day guidelines and executing "Prime Time" standards.
  • Ensure all food safety guidelines and requirements are followed and maintained throughout the store, taking immediate corrective action if not followed.

  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods.
