OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider Fellow

Our OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program is a one-year post-graduate training program designed to equip fellows with the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to provide high-quality care to complex and challenging patients in women's health.

Program Description:

The Emory Healthcare OB/GYN Fellowship is a comprehensive program that prepares new nurse practitioners and physician assistants to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging OB/GYN and women's health patients. Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Outpatient obstetrics and gynecology
  • Maternal fetal medicine
  • Reproductive endocrinology and infertility
  • Urogynecology
  • Inpatient Labor and Delivery and L&D Triage

Curriculum Highlights:

  • Rotations in various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and specialty clinics
  • Opportunities to work with experienced faculty and clinicians
  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • Participation in quality improvement and research projects

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited PA or NP master's program prior to the start of the Fellowship program
  • National board certification as an NP or PA
  • Eligibility for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia
  • Eligibility for DEA license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association

Application Process:

To be considered for the OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program, please submit the following materials:

  • Statement of Intent: A one-page, 12-point font, double-spaced statement describing career goals and reasons for pursuing the fellowship
  • Curriculum Vitae: Educational background, professional experience, volunteer experience, and other relevant information
  • Three Letters of Recommendation: Two from professors or program directors, one from a professional peer
  • Transcripts

Selection Criteria:

Candidates will be selected based on their academic and clinical achievements, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and overall fit with the program's goals and objectives.
