Job Overview:

The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye examinations and providing exceptional patient care within the AEG Vision practice. This role emphasizes the importance of building strong patient relationships and educating individuals about their eye health.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough eye examinations and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with patients through quality care and education.
  • Engage in detailed discussions with patients to gather health and ocular histories, addressing their visual needs and concerns.
  • Provide informed recommendations regarding treatment options for refractive errors, ocular diseases, and visual requirements.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Foster patient loyalty and advocate for the profession of Optometry and AEG Vision values.
  • Perform vision tests and interpret results accurately.
  • Diagnose visual impairments and eye conditions.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and other necessary treatments.
  • Offer pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  • Evaluate patients for systemic diseases and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Promote eye health through patient counseling on contact lens care and the importance of regular eye examinations.
  • Communicate effectively with optical staff regarding lens recommendations and advanced technology options.

Qualifications:
  • Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of all state board examinations for optometry.
