About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments, cancel/reschedule appointments as needed, and arrange for patients to have financial counseling.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate with patients about test scheduling, potential prep work, and gather necessary information.
  • Front Desk Operations: Answer incoming calls, connect callers with the correct extension, and respond to emergency and urgent calls in a timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform operator functions, greet patients and visitors, obtain demographic and insurance information, and collect co-pays and other out-of-pocket amounts.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least two years of front medical office experience, preferably in a practice management system with insurance forms and appointment scheduling.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; high level of organization, attention to detail, and prioritizing; electronic medical record and/or practice software proficiency.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
