**Job Summary**
The Healthcare Support Specialist provides vital nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, performs procedures for physical hygiene, and ensures patient comfort.
This role requires working within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed members.
Additionally, the Healthcare Support Specialist will perform general clerical and reception duties according to the needs of the patient unit or department.
Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into our computerized patient care system.
**Requirements**
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant Course
* Listed as a CNA on the Georgia Registry
Alternatively, applicants may have completed:
* A U.S. Military Medic course
* One year of experience as an Emergency Medical Tech
* Visual color acuity depending on the specific unit role
**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
