About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in our Intermediate Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality care, utilizing technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs, developing individualized treatment plans to address their unique requirements.
- Foster a culture of quality care, prioritizing patients' well-being and safety above all else.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with hospital guidelines, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Safely administer medications, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with LPNs and CNAs to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
- Prioritize tasks efficiently, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado.
- An ASN/ADN degree or higher, with a BSN degree required within four years from date of hire (exceptions apply).
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days.
- The ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
