Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiovascular ICU team.

Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Provider will function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, comprehensive acute and routine medical/surgical care to patients in the Cardiovascular ICU. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct daily rounds, participate in code blue responses, and provide emergency care as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Acute care certification
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in cardiovascular ICU care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
