PALLIATIVE CARE ASSISTANT

SUMMARY OF POSITION
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Palliative Care Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate support to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. This position involves providing essential personal care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver personal care services that align with the mission and values of LifeBridge Health.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff to meet the healthcare needs of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a hospice or home health setting, is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR and other relevant training is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess reliable transportation and adhere to fleet safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with patients and their families.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work environments.
