Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the construction of a large-scale project in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the construction contract and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with design teams and resolve design issues as needed
  • Review and process Request-for-Information and Information-Bulletins
  • Oversee safety and security of the site and track contractor submittals
  • Conduct Bi-Weekly project meetings and complete job reports
  • Create and track Field Orders and Change Orders
  • Assess impact of change requests or delays on the project schedule and budget
  • Monitor contractor's schedule in Primavera P6 and hold monthly scheduling meetings
  • Review and assist OGS personnel with claim responses or contractor disputes
  • Monthly contractor payment review and tracking of certified payrolls
  • Ensure compliance with the project specific construction management plan
  • Oversight of Inspector duties and coordination with Code Inspection personnel

Requirements
  • Willingness to work inside minimum and maximum security prisons
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and provide job site leadership
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a role of Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million
  • Ability to manage various projects using established controls and procedures
  • Valid drivers' license, dependable transportation, and ability to travel as needed
  • Proficient with web-based submittal collaboration system and project scheduling software (preferably Oracle Primavera)
  • Cost estimating/negotiating experience and knowledge of the Uniform Building Code
