Job Description
As an Intervention Specialist at Northside Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and behavioral goals of all students. Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. You will also conduct diagnostic assessments, write behavior improvement plans, and facilitate IEP meetings.

You will be responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and development. Your duties will include modifying general education curricular materials, assisting students with regular class assignments, and working closely with parents to ensure seamless communication and support.

This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve the goals of the intervention program. You will have opportunities for professional growth and development through ongoing training and coaching.

Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, based on experience and qualifications. This includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement contributions and paid time off.

About You
We are seeking highly qualified Intervention Specialists who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a current state license and experience working in a full-room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for this role.

You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment, where frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring are integral components. High-quality written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required, along with a valid teaching certification. You must also be able to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI). Experience working in a multi-cultural setting is preferred but not required.
