Medical Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a skilled Medical Claims Adjuster to join our team at Progressive Insurance. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for managing bodily injury claims, ensuring swift resolution, and providing exceptional customer service.
Your strong negotiation and customer service skills will be essential in interacting with customers, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders. Ongoing coaching and training will be provided to support your growth and development in this role.
This is a hybrid role, requiring you to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration. You will have the flexibility to work in the office more than four days per month if preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Make coverage decisions determining the extent of Progressive's liability
- Gather details through interviews and investigations regarding those injured in an accident
- Settle unrepresented bodily injury claims, among other things
- Calculate benefit payments and approve payment of claims within a defined monetary limit
- Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling
- Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling
- Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling
- $68,000 - $72,000/year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
