We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team at Marriott. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our bar/lounge, including supervision of staff, promoting the lounge, menu planning, and maintaining standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Bar/Lounge Operations
- Implement and enforce beverage policies and procedures throughout the property.
- Manage liquor control, including inventory, par levels, and cost control.
- Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies and procedures.
- Leading Bar/Lounge Team
- Train staff on liquor control policies and procedures.
- Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
- Communicate critical information to the Bar/Lounge staff regarding each event.
- Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Respond effectively to guest problems and complaints.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of liquor control policies and procedures.
What We Offer
Marriott offers a competitive salary range of $71,000 to $92,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
