Job Title: General Superintendent - Industrial Coatings

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead our industrial coatings team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and overseeing the completion of all field activities related to the industrial coatings project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute project work plans and revise as necessary to meet client needs and requirements.
  • Minimize risk and exposure on all projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate daily with the Field Foreman and Project Manager on jobsite-related issues.
  • Ensure accurate information and paperwork in a timely manner for report generation.
  • Requisition materials and supplies as needed for project operation and completion.
  • Oversee and direct activities of company field labor personnel assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate and track project tools and equipment.
  • Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with inter-company personnel, customers, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the construction/coatings industry.
  • 30-hour OSHA Training Certification required.
  • Familiarity with construction/OSHA-related laws and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of related computer applications.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, contract specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Understanding of Niles company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and salesmanship skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete details.
