Position Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Wilmington, DE and surrounding areas

Position Overview:

Soliant is in search of a skilled and passionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a part of our dedicated team in the Wilmington, DE region. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing students' communication abilities and language skills within an academic environment. Your duties will encompass conducting evaluations, delivering therapy services, and working in partnership with educators and families to foster student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to diagnose students' communication challenges and create tailored treatment strategies.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, focusing on areas such as articulation, phonology, fluency, expressive and receptive language, as well as social and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and other specialists to formulate and execute strategies that address students' communication requirements in the classroom.
  • Track students' progress, modify therapy plans as needed, and maintain ongoing assessment and documentation of their development.
  • Engage in IEP meetings, contributing insights and expertise related to students' speech and language objectives.
  • Stay informed about advancements, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Possession of a valid Delaware state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience with school-aged children, ideally in an educational context.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, assessment methodologies, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with students, creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
