About the Role:

As a Senior Civil Engineer at WSP, you will have the opportunity to lead flagship infrastructure programs across various sectors, including transportation, transit, site, and environmental. Your expertise will be essential in technical design program management, client engagement, internal design standards reinforcement, and identifying future contract opportunities.

This position requires collaboration with senior teams to grow technical expertise across the region. You will also be responsible for supporting subject matter technical leadership for multi-site/phased heavy civil programs, encompassing site layout, roadway, MOT, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility, and erosion & sediment control.

Your scope of work will include due diligence, field investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in both public and private sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Additionally, they should be highly proficient in making technical computations and calculations involving application of engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to appropriate regulations.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related discipline is required, along with a P.E. license (multi-state preferred).

Responsibilities:

- Lead technical design programs and facilitate client engagement sessions
- Reinforce internal design standards and identify future contract opportunities
- Support subject matter technical leadership for multi-site/phased heavy civil programs
- Conduct due diligence, field investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements

Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
- Highly proficient in making technical computations and calculations involving application of engineering principles
- Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations on various aspects of construction and design of facilities or structures
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with clients, regulators, project managers, and employees

Salary Range: $111,200 - $198,220.
