Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for compiling and evaluating loan portfolio data while developing risk models aimed at minimizing operational losses and safeguarding the assets of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the quality of loan portfolio data to enable informed decision-making by management.
2. Conduct data analysis and modeling, including credit monitoring, stress testing of the loan portfolio, and calculating the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL).

Essential Duties:
- Assist in managing the ACL model in accordance with Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) guidelines, including ongoing development, implementation, and validation.
- Execute monthly ACL calculations, exploring various scenarios for testing purposes.
- Validate model results, interpret findings, and document any changes and assumptions made during the modeling process.
- Provide support in communicating model results to various stakeholders, including internal audit and regulatory examiners.
- Identify economic conditions to be incorporated into the ACL model.
- Design and implement processes to ensure data integrity and thorough completion of tasks related to the ACL model.
- Investigate and resolve any data integrity issues affecting the ACL.
- Compile and analyze loan portfolio data to build credit risk models that protect company assets.
- Support special projects aligned with overall organizational objectives.
- Perform ad hoc reporting for senior management and other departments as required.

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of CECL guidance and methodology.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical experience with statistical and mathematical concepts.
- Ability to gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with CECL.
- Previous experience as a credit, portfolio, financial, or investment analyst is required.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced data analysis using Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
- Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., PowerBI) is preferred.
- Knowledge of database software (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Understanding of banking systems is advantageous.
