We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Animal Care Technician to join our team at Inotiv. This role will focus on providing exceptional care and welfare to our animals, ensuring the highest standards of animal health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for animals, including feeding, cleaning, and providing a safe and healthy environment.
- Follow established protocols to ensure the health and welfare of animals in care.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding, cleaning, and health checks.
- Ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of animal buildings, cages, and support areas.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and work independently when needed.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours at a time.
- Lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, squat, and lift.
- Manual dexterity to catch and hold animals.
- Manual dexterity to use a calculator and/or computer keyboard.
