Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Constituent Liaison to join our team at the New York State Civil Service. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our constituents, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service to our constituents, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of constituent interactions, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and secure.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including greeting visitors, handling mail and packages, and performing other duties as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and other partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and policy issues, providing expert advice and guidance to our constituents.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a legislative or government setting, with a strong understanding of constituent services and government operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as Google Docs and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
