Job Title: Kitchen Janitor

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Janitor to join our team at Dexterra in Charlottesville, VA. As a Kitchen Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wash and rinse dishes, glasses, and silverware, ensuring proper temperature for sterilization and adding soap as needed
  • Sweep, mop, and take out the trash, as well as assist with other duties as assigned
  • Sanitize all dinner china and glassware, as well as pots and pans
  • Separate, wash, and sanitize silverware
  • Put away all china, glass, and other items in the proper storage locations
  • Sweep and mop the entire kitchen area at the end of the shift
  • Take out trash as needed and at the end of the shift
  • Assist with stock duties, such as storage, as necessary
  • Assist with kitchen duties as requested by the Lead Cook or Foodservice Manager on duty
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with other staff
  • Must adhere to all Safety & Sanitation standards, including acquiring ServSafe certification
  • Must be able to work with little to no direct supervision
  • Must follow all policies and procedures
